Shooting Range Serving St. George, UT
St. George doesn’t have a full-distance outdoor range. We do. FOB Gunslinger in Beryl is 75 minutes north — 400 private acres of open desert where you can actually run your rifle, run a stage, and leave the lane dividers behind.
// What’s on the range
One Complex.
Full Capability.
From your first handgun draw to precision rifle at distance — every bay, every surface, every discipline is here under one membership or day fee.
Pistol & Defensive Bays
Multiple close-quarters bays for handgun work — steel targets, draw-from-holster, and tactical movement without an RSO staring you down. First-timer or seasoned shooter, there’s space for you.
Rifle to Long-Range
Run your AR at 100, stretch it to 300, or push steel at 800 yards and beyond. Open desert lets you work real distance — the kind Southern Utah’s indoor ranges simply can’t offer.
USPSA / PRS / 3-Gun Matches
Scheduled matches bring the competitive shooting community together on world-class terrain. USPSA, Precision Rifle Series, and 3-Gun events run throughout the year — open to members and non-members alike.
Training & Clinics
NRA and USCCA certified instruction from John McGloughlin and lead instructor Dain. One-day fundamentals, multi-day skill-builder courses, and private sessions available. See the full training schedule →

// Why St. George shooters make the trip
Worth the Drive.
You already know indoor lanes have a ceiling — in distance, in discipline, and in freedom. Here’s what changes when you leave St. George for 75 minutes.
Real Distance
Steel to 1,760 yards. Whether you’re sighting in a new optic at 200 or sending rounds at a mile, the range accommodates it. No indoor facility in the region can match that.
Open-Air Freedom
No lane dividers. No ceilings. No timers nudging you off the firing line. 400 private acres — shoot at your own pace, run your own drills, bring your own setup.
Private & Controlled
This is a private facility, not a public land free-for-all. Structured, safe, and staffed — but without the bureaucracy of a municipal range.
Stay the Night
The on-site RV park at FOB Gunslinger means you can pull in Friday evening, shoot all day Saturday and Sunday, and head home rested. Members get discounted RV stays.
Competitive Matches
USPSA, PRS, and 3-Gun matches give St. George competitors a legitimate venue without the overnight haul to Vegas or Salt Lake. Check the match calendar and sign up on TicketTailor.

FAQ
How far is Brave Lizard Tactical from St. George?
FOB Gunslinger is approximately 60 miles and 75 minutes from downtown St. George. Take I-15 north toward Cedar City, then head west on UT-56 into Beryl. The full address is 7985 5600 W, Beryl, UT 84714. Paved road the entire way.
What should I bring to the range?
Bring your firearm(s), ammunition, eye and ear protection, and any magazines or gear you plan to run. Water and snacks are a good idea — it’s high desert. If you’re attending a training course, check your confirmation for any class-specific gear requirements.
Do I need a membership to shoot here?
No. Non-members can attend scheduled matches and training classes, or purchase a day pass. A membership unlocks unlimited no-booking access and discounts on events and the RV park — it pays for itself quickly if you’re shooting more than a few times a year.
Are first-timers welcome?
Absolutely. We run NRA and USCCA certified courses specifically designed for new shooters. If you’ve never fired a gun or just want a structured refresher, our fundamentals courses will get you safe, confident, and hitting targets. No experience required to sign up.
Can I bring my family or a group?
Yes. The All Access Experience membership covers a spouse and children ages 12–18. Non-member guests can accompany a member (guest limits apply by tier). For larger groups — corporate outings, team-building, or squad training — contact us to arrange a private session.
What disciplines and matches are available?
The range hosts USPSA, Precision Rifle Series (PRS), and 3-Gun matches throughout the year. Match registration is handled through TicketTailor. The range itself supports pistol, rifle, long-range precision, and multi-bay tactical drills.
